KARACHI: Pakistan cueists Mohammad Asif and Asjad Iqbal notched up their second victories in the IBSF World Snooker Championship in Sofia, Bulgaria, on Sunday.
Asif constructed a brilliant break of 101 in the opening frame while hammering Ahmed Benrassi of France 4-0 (132-05, 88-35, 75-01, 79-22).
Asif in his opening match had defeated Nadir Khan Sultani of Afghanistan 4-1.
Asjad Iqbal was tied 2-all with Austrian cueman Sebastian Hainzl before chalking an exciting 4-2 win (65-42, 01-90, 64-16, 34-84, 82-18, 60-52).
Earlier, Asjad defeated Nikola Kemilev of Bulgaria 4-1.—APP
